Dessert Portions - are roughly 1" x 2" × the height of the cake.

 

Coffee Portions - are roughly 1" x 1" × the height of the cake.
 

I generally recommend dessert-sized portions for parties and coffee-sized portions for weddings or larger events where cake follows a three course meal.

Note: The height of the cake will vary depending on cake style and serve requirements. Cakes can be layered in 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 layers. Any cake above 3 layers will include a support base plate half way through.

2 layers = overall approx. height of cake = 3.5"

3 layers = overall approx. height of cake = 5.5"

4 layers = overall approx. height of cake = 7"

5 layers = overall approx. height of cake = 8.25"

6 layers = overall approx. height of cake = 10"
